November 24 Chinese, European Scientists Discuss Climate Change and Water Cycle (People’s Daily)
The international seminar on "Climate Change and Global Water Circulation," held at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics in the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing, is jointly sponsored by The Research Councils UK (RCUK), the Monsoon Asia Integrated Regional Study (MAIRS) and the EU Water Circulation and Climate Change Project. The seminar aims at strengthening cooperation between Chinese and European scientists and to further the exchange of the latest findings in research on the relationship between climate change and water resources.

November 24 Hu: China Has Made Effect on Coping with Climate Change (China news network)
Chinese president Hu Jingtao, pointed out in the 16th APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in Peru that Chinese government has taken lots of actions in combating Climate Change: China publicizes “China’s National Climate Change Program,” founds the National Climate Change Coordination Committee, improves the mechanism for coping with climate change, and clarifies the specific targets, basic principals related to measures concerning with climate change. In addition, China aims to cut down 20% carbon dioxide emission ofEnergy Consumption per unit of GDP in 2010 compared that in 2005, raise the renewable resources proportion up to 10% and the forestry coverage up to 20%. Until now, China is stepping forward to achieve these targets and has already made certain achievements.

November 25 Jintao Hu gave the Speech on Regional Economic Integration, Human Security, Climate Change and Other Topics (China Youth Newspaper)
The second phase meeting of the 16th APEC informal leadership meeting was held by the Department of Defense in Lima Convention Center on November 23. Chinese President Hu Jintao attended the meeting and gave a speech on regional economic integration, human security, climate change and other topics. With regard to regional economic integration, Hu said, APEC members are having the increasingly close economic and trade ties, and the regional economic integration process is developed continuously. We should encourage and support this positive trend. The highest priority is to realize the Bogor Goals on schedule, and to promote the World Trade Organization Doha Round negotiations to achieve positive results as soon as possible.

November 26 Survey Conducted by HSBC Shows that Hong Kong People Care About Climate Change after Global Economic (Cnfol news network)
In September when global economic crisis broke out, HSBC made an on-line survey on climate change issue through 1,200 people in 12 countries. The result turned out that HK citizens concerned climate change most only after global economy. 23% of surveyors stated that climate change was the second concern slightly behind 29% of surveyors who concern most on global economy. Head of Sustainable Development Group pointed out that, in spite of the gloomy global economy, citizens in the world still concern the actions taken by local government to cope with climate change.

November 26 National Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Forum for Petroleum & Petrifaction Enterprises Held in Beijing (Inner Mongolia News Network)
With the theme on “Promote Technical Exchange on Energy Conservation between Enterprises,” National Petroleum, Petrifaction Enterprises Energy Conservation Forum was held in Beijing International Convention Center.

November 28 Nations Gather in Poland on Coping with Climate Change (People’s News Network)
From Dec.1 to 12, the United Nations, sparing no effort in pushing the process of a new climate change pact in recent 2 years, will hold a new round of parley on climate change in Poland. At that time, eight thousands representatives from all around the world will renew the parley in Poznan, and around one hundred ministers of environmental protection department from 190 countries and regions will attend the last 2 days conference. But the essential parley will remain to be accomplished next year. The Poznan parley will mainly deliberate a new pact draft of 86 pages, including the development of new clean energy technology in developing countries, such as China, India, fund support to tropical countries to slow down lumbering, assistance to poor countries to better face climate change, etc.

November 28 The Necessity of Implementing the Policy of Energy Conservation (QQ network)
To better practice Circular Economy Promotion Law which will be implemented from the first day next year, the government has strengthened the administration of energy conservation.
