1996: 30 professionals concerned about China's environment launched International Fund for China¨s Environment (IFCE) in Washington DC.
1997: IFCE jointly organized the "China Environmental Lecture Series" with George Washington University.
1998: IFCE held ｀Beijing Conference¨ to discuss the disaster restoration and reconstruction after Yangtze River flood. After the conference, IFCE proposed " the Conversion of Degraded Farm Lands into Forests and Grasslands " and other policy recommendations.
1999: The first US-China Forum on Environmental NGOs Cooperation was held in Washington, DC. IFCE organized overseas experts to submit environmental policy recommendation report, received positive comments from then Vice Premier Wen Jiabao.
2000: IFCE led overseas environmental experts to visit Nanjing, Yixing, Xian, Beijing and other places for academic and technological exchanges.
2001: The 2nd US-China Forum on Environmental NGOs Cooperation was held in in Beijing.
2002: IFCE participated in the World Summit on Sustainable Development held by United Nations in Johannesburg, South Africa.
2003: The 3rd International Forum on Environmental NGOs Cooperation was held in in Beijing. People's Daily praised the forum as a historic breakthrough for China 's environmental NGOs.
2004: Dr. He Ping, President of IFCE, wrote to General Secretary Hu Jintao, expressing concerns over the hydropower development on Nu River.
2005: The 4th International Forum on Environmental NGOs Cooperation was held in Kunming.
2006: IFCE led U.S. wind and solar technical delegations to visit China.
2007: The 5th International Forum on Environmental NGOs Cooperation/ the 4th College Student Environmental Forum was held in Wuhan to discuss climate change mitigation and youth responsibility. Dr. He Ping, president of IFCE, was invited to attend the CPPCC annual meeting in Beijing.
2008: IFCE started the "Three Parallel Rivers" World Natural Heritage Field Investigation and Policy Recommendations Project in Yunnan. IFCE organized community environmental education activities in Xi'an and Kunming.
2009: IFCE started Inner Mongolia Alashan Biodiversity Conservation Project. Dr. He Ping, president of IFCE, was invited to attend the 60th Anniversary of the Chinese National Day Ceremony.
2010: IFCE organized US-China Youth Exchange on Water Environment with the support from the U.S. State Department. IFCE jointly organized the Chinese environmental NGO Annual Conference with All-China Environmental Federation and other organizations. The same year, IFCE jointly held the US-China Climate Roundtable with the United Nations Foundation.
2011: IFCE organized a U.S. delegation for heavy metal pollution control technology to visit China. Dr. He Ping, president of IFCE, was invited to attend the welcoming ceremony for President Hu Jintao at the White House by President Obama.
2012: IFCE hosted the US, China and Brazil Forum on Sustainable Urbanization in Washington. IFCE organized Chinese technical professionals to investigate the U.S. contaminated sites remediation.
2013: IFCE assisted a strategic agreement signed between the China's North Engineering Design Institute (NORENDAR) and Apex Company to collaborate on heavy metal pollution control in China. IFCE held US-China Greener Consumption Forum at the World Bank.
